This recession is really bad, and going to get worse before it gets better. Unfortunately, with out current president, we're going to come out as a SOCIALIST nation.

If you want socialism, go to Europe. This is AMERICA, we're a CAPITALIST country. America was built on capitalism, and it should stay that way.

That doesn't mean I have to be a capitalist ;) We are a FREE country... we can believe what we want.

That's also true - you can be a Nazi if you want to be I suppose...

However, I think that the president should uphold the capitalist foundations of America. And he's not doing that.

^ Please go by the rules. All politicians are idiots IMO. Obama was simply the most popular lying douchebag this past election ;)

Again, no president or party references. We can talk about what America is, not what America should be.

It's hard to talk about America without referencing the president. He's kind of a big deal. You shouldn't post articles like this if you don't want me to mention the president or other politicians.

There are Republican idiots, too, and I'll call them out when necessary. As an example, all of those Republican governors who say they're going to refuse the stimulus. While I don't agree with the stimulus, they're stupid for turning down the money.

Did you support the other stimulus? I mean, the $700 billion one that Bush made? I really don't know and don't care much about these stimulus bills, to be honest.

I didn't support him sending checks to everyone in America.

Bailing out the businesses is one thing, but this other stuff is ridiculous.

^ Aww, why not send checks to everyone :( Works better than sending money to corrupt, greedy businessmen on Wall Street, that's for sure. Wonder how big of a yacht they bought with that.

Ever see There Will Be Blood? It speaks the truth of big business owners.

Never seen that movie.

Sending a check to everyone in America does nothing for the economy as a whole. Unless you consider spending it on Chinese goods to be good for the UNITED STATES economy... ?

I'm a Republican and yes, both parties have idiots in Congress. Although I think Pelosi's the biggest idiot, but that's just me. ::)

Ian on the most popular idiot- very funny
both party idiots- yes
Obama-monkey yes

Our governor isn't saying we are going to refuse the money, he just wants to save it for a rainy day, cuz unlike most other parts of the nation ND is in the black...... by a wide margin. ND's economy is ok. With the rest of the nation the way it is yes we have a little problem, but overall everything is ok. Housing market holding strong to getting stronger in most bigger cities. Jobs galore in Bis, I'm sure the same is for Grand Forks, Fargo and others

if your having trouble where you live now....... consider ND....... cost of living in most cases is much less..... and less stressful

ya that's my small pitch for ND

Can I come move in with you Dog?? ;) Actually, parts of PA are pretty nice too. Only draw back of living in the Poconos is the influx of people from New York City & New Jersey coming in ::)
